Cataphoresis

Cataphoresis is an electrodeposition process that is used to apply protective coatings to metal parts. It involves submerging the part in a liquid solution containing metal ions, applying an electrical current to deposit the ions on the surface of the part, and then passing the item through an oven to cure and set the coating. This process provides long lasting corrosion protection.

The handling of the roller after treatment must be very careful, as any knock or friction, however small, causes the deposited layer to come off.
