Nitrided

Vacuum nitriding is a surface treatment process in which nitrogen is introduced into the surface of a metal part in a controlled vacuum environment. This method is used to improve the mechanical properties and wear resistance of the part by forming a layer of nitrides on the surface.

By performing vacuum nitriding, more uniform and contaminant-free nitride layers can be obtained than in other nitriding methods, which can result in higher quality and precision in the surface treatment.
